The funeral homes in Caruthersville used to give out funeral cards to the people attending the funeral. I don't know if they still do this. I do know that H. S. Smith Funeral Home laminates copies of the obituary and gives it to the members of the family of the deceased. This was found in the Fields family Bible. (C. D. and Kathryn Tims Fields, my grandparents.) Mrs. Scott was not a member of our family, she must have been a good friend of my grandparents.
