He tells when he started, etc. I also remember when his son Robert and wife Jane, I believe was her name, had the city pig. The building is still standing but is now a frame shop. I would be glad to mail you the article and take a pic of the building. If interested e-mail me your address.

He was born 15 Oct 1896, in Jackson, TN. He stated that he was unemployed and that his nearest relative was Mrs. Ida Baughn (Mother) of Holland, MO. He was described as having his right leg off at or just above the knee. Can anyone provide info on Norman, his mother Ida (who had married William Silas Baughn in TN) or any other relatives. Have not found either of them in 1910 or 1920 censuses. Ida was originally a Cupp.

    3. Thirty people! That sure is different than the listing in 1971. I don't know, but could make a guess that with the cemetery in a plowed field it may have slowly been turned into field. That has happened all too often in rural areas. Now for the listing of the Samford Church of Christ Cmetery T17N R10E S36 Copied 4 Apr 19071 by Lois McReynolds, Glenna LaForge, and Glenna Marie Romero p.18 of Vol II Mrs. Burke, pastors wife, no stone Margarte(this is the way it is spelled in the book) Danley, 18 May 1926- 23 Feb 1929 (homemade stone) Lizzie Fife, 16 Dec 1870-Oct 1936 (homemade stone) Ransoms Hicks, 16 Jun 1833-30 Oct 1923 Julia A., w.o. Marilyn [email protected] wrote: Marilyn, Yes I would also be interested in the other Samford info also. My mother said that when she was a child that the Cemetery was very large. The Clarence Williams I was referring to was born 1872 in Crawford County Indiana...married Georgia Ann Pullam, daughter of George Pullam, in 1893....Clarence died 1941 in Pemiscot County. I have seen the last name spelled various ways, but most often Pullam or Pulliam. Although most of my research is on the Williams family, I am also trying to verify Georgia Ann's mother's name. I know Georgia had a brother Frank who was born in Nashville, Tenn and died in Pemiscot County. Georgia's mother died when she was young and she was, for the most part, raised by a Helton family and grew up in Arkansas.
