We may some where back down the line. I have a CD on the Callis family (my wife's ancestors) compiled by a cousin in Cal and Tx. I'll dig it out and check for Luther Lloyd. Where is Dogskin and is it still there? I had Aunts and Uncles in Caruthersville who were Mary Emma and B F "Hot" Rogers, past Mayor; Robert and Sue Wilks, had a grocery on Ward; Stanley and Nell Greenway, had a farm out by Cottonwood; Buddy and Betty Killett, he ran the old Cash and Carry years ago. My Mom was raised there. They are all deceased now. I had 10 cousins but only 2 still live in Caruthersville. The rest have scatterd all over. My mother used to talk about Medlins and I have House in my file from a contact. Most of my Mom's siblings were born in Lenox, TN. Her ancestors are Kirk, Killett, Hallum, Green, Ellis, and Blunt(Blount, Brent, Brunt, Brundt). They moved to C'ville abt 1920.

    3. The Mt Zion Cemetery is in Steele. There are no listings for any Parm or Warren in the Pemiscot Cemetery Inscriptions Vol 4 for this cemetery. It's a rather large cemetery, might she have been with another family name? I'm not sure if there are any other smaller cemeteries in Steele. Hopefully someone else will know. Marilyn [email protected] wrote: Im looking for a burial site for a woman whos name is Beulah M. Parm. She died abt 1929 in Cobb County, GA but is supposed to be buried in Steele, Missouri. Will someone out there do a look into cemetery books to see if there is a Beulah M. Parm, (nee Warren) in a cemetery in Steele? Id like to find the burial place for this woman was my Aunt's mother and she tried to find it a few years ago and could not. Thank you. He married into my wife's family (the Wallers from Tennessee) in Caruthersville, MO, in 1934. My father's family was from that area, my mother had some Tate connections there, but my wife's family on both sides (House, Medlin) was, and is, very rooted there The Rogers name sounds familiar to me, but not sure why. I was raised down the street from a Herman Lowry, I forget his dad's name right now, but I know at one time he was with the C,Ville city police, or state police, as a dispatcher as I recall.

    1. Re: [MOPEMISC] GERMAN: Pemiscot Historical Society Cemetery Project
    2. About 5 years ago, I had some dealings with the John W. German Funeral Home in Carruthersville. As of that time, I was informed that, due to Missouri state law, they could not mail information out of state. I just happened to be there though and they were extremely helpful with death records and notices. If you're not in Missouri, it would probably be helpful to have someone's address who does live within the state lines ---- genetree <[email protected]> wrote: > Thank you for the tips.
