Where did your mother hail from? I have family connections in the Pemiscot County area..and they had step family members Talley. They came from Indiana late 1800's to early 1900's. Also have noticed a reference somewhere to a Pulley line to Mathenia..do you know anything about the Pulley name? Thanks..just wondered if we had connections. Mary Sarah Phillips, daughter of Jesse James Phillips and Mary Elizabeth Brown, was born in Kentucky (probably Marshall Co.) about 1871 but may have gone to Bollinger Co., MO with her parents before 1890. She is mentioned in one sister's 1943 obituary as a surviving sister, "one sister of Dudley, MO". Unfortunately ... her married name isn't given. In a brother's 1962 obituary, it's mentioned that his sister Sarah preceded him in death, so presumably she went by Sarah, even though she was listed as Mary in the 1880 census. Does she belong to anyone's family on the list? Thanks, Shirley Siltala

Elaine, I wish that I could help you, but I do not recognize the names. My Tims line came from SC to TN (Enoch and his family were living at Shiloh during the Battle of Shiloh). After the Civil War, one of the brothers (Rev. E. D. L. Tims) took the Tims widows and his family and moved to Tarrant County, Texas. My greatgrandfather, Silas Green Tims, setted in Obion County, TN. He married Sarah Howell, from Tishmingo County, MS. They met when Silas was selling his mother's pies to the soldiers. William Tims1 and unknown, SC to TN Enoch Tims2 and Nancy Rhodes, SC to TN Silas Green Tims3 and Sarah Elizabeth Howell, TN then my grandmother, Kathryn Tims Fields4, TN to MO My Jennings line came from Whitehaven, Cumbria County, England before the Revolutionary War to VA. My greatgreatgrandfather, George Washington Jennings, came to Dyer County, TN from VA with his children about 1870. My greatgrandmother was Lucy Jennings Fields, 1845 - 1927. Sorry that I cannot be more help. Have you tried the Tims list at Rootsweb? Billie in Texas

Dear Billie, I saw your message on the Pemiscot List. I was born & raised in Pemiscot in Steele, went to school with some Powell's, and have an aunt whose maiden name was Jennings. I noted the surname Tims.......I've been unable to find info on a Tims in one of my lines and am hoping you might be able to help me. My grandmother had a sister named Emma Feagan who married a Tims around the Greene Co., AR area in the early 1900's and had a son. I don't know what happened to Mr. Tims, but Emma remarried a Henry Vaughn abt. 1910. The son was named Edward, but I believe he also had a nickname, and he was raised by Henry. I've not been able to find a definite death date for Emma, but think it was somewhere around 1924. I don't know what happened to Edward, but I've been told that it was thought he had moved to MO. I would appreciate hearing from anyone that might have information on this family. Thanks, Elaine Howe ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour
