Ball, 85, of Springdale, Ark., died Saturday, May 29, 2004, at his home. Born April 18, 1919, at Concord, Mo., in Pemiscot County, a son of the late Albert Guy and Susie Pryor Ball, he owned Ball's Grocery and Cabins and after moving to Lavinia, Mich. was a real estate appraiser and salesman. After retiring he moved to Springdale, where he was a member of Springdale Baptist Church. On Dec. 5, 1936, at Concord, he married Ina Mae Thompson who preceded him in death Dec. 31, 1990. He is survived by two sons, Jimmie Harold Ball and wife, Pauline, of Belleville, Mich. and Larry Joe Ball and wife, Sylvia, of Milford, Mich.; four brothers, Paul Ball of Portageville, Mo., Gene Ball and Phillip Ball of Springdale and Ralph Ball of Hayti, Mo.; three sisters, Naomi Pool of Harker Heights, Texas, Edna Pease of Big Sandy, Tenn. and Jo Ann Mack of Navarre, Fla.; five grandchildren, Brenda Ball of Waterford, Mich., Brian Ball of Fowlerville, Mich., Misty Kennedy Ball of Belleville, Barbara Ann Theek of Taylor, Mich. and Lisa Ball of Riverside, Mich. and seven great-grandchildren.     2. Charles William Hicks, 55, born November 14, 1951 in Holland, Missouri, died on Sunday November 11, 2007 in Granite City, Illinois. He was Proceeded in death by Louis and Gladys, nee Sanford, Hicks; five brothers Marshall, Roylee "Pee Wee", Loyd, Kenneth "Kenny" and Cletus Hicks; and two sisters Shelby Woolf and Loretta Hicks. He is survived by two sons Charles "Chuck" (Carrie) William, Jr. and David Allen (Jennifer) Hicks all of Granite City, Illinois; five grandchildren Darron, Brian, Ashley, Emily, And Bailey Hicks ; a brother Larry Hicks of Worden, Illinois. Following high school graduation in 1969 Charles enlisted in the Army serving in Vietnam. Burial was at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors.
