Her parents were James M Goforth and Delila Sifford. She was born in 1840 and died in 1924. She married John Krider (1841-1917) and their daughter Martha married my hsband's grandad Samuel T Davis. From what I have been able to uncover Charity was married to William Jackson and had several children with him before married John Krider. I would love to know more of the back story of William. I would guess that Henry was her first husband. I believe this is also Dolly SMITH (Mrs S, Smith) and Dolly TANNER--she was married several times. I have a letter from Dolly Smith sent from the home of Emerson Tanner/Turner, whom she was visiting, in Bernie MO, in 1942. Dolly was the aunt of Martha Ann Tinsley, who was the daughter of Ruth Anna Turner Tinsley. (Mrs. Walter William Tinsley); Ruth's parents were Robert B Turner and Martha Ann Camp--married in Obion Co Tn 1856. Board #2248 for Farmer lists children of Henry Farmer and Dolly Turner as Emerson b 1891; and Blanche b. 1895; Blanche married Frank Thomas and had seven children, 3 of whom lived to adulthood. There are Camps, Farmers, Smiths, and Tanners listed in the 1840 Census of Obion Co, TN--and Thomases listed in the 1850 and 1860 censuses; and Turners also in the 1860 census. I hope this helps. I am interested in any information that can be added to what I have. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. His wife's name was Izola M. and his mother, Aggie Vaughn, was living with them. All were born in Kentucky. I have reason to believe that Aggie Vaughn was married to my Great Grandpa, James R. Sutton Feb. 1910 in Pemiscot County ( I found the marriage record on line) and I am trying to locate some of Aggie's family. Aggie was listed in the 1910 Pemiscot County, Braggadocio TWP, along with James and his children, Laura (my grandma) age 11, Arlie age 9 and Eunice age 5.
