I believe she died in July 1907. Her husband worked as a postmaster in Pemiscot county (although not for Caruthersville) until July 1907. He married his second wife in November of that same year so obviously, Nannie must have passed away some time before that. Because he quit as postmaster in July, that's why I think Nannie probably passed away in July. But that's just my best guess. I've tried the cemetery (Little Prairie: the family didn't buy a headstone and the funeral home records are missing); and the Missouri state archives site (Missouri did not start doing death certificates state wide until later and Pemiscot information in the archives is rather sparce). I live in Utah, not Missouri, so I can't go to the Caruthersville library myself. Any help would be sincerely appreciated. HOUSE, SLAVE OWNER (owned 2 slave houses) 1 slave, age 30, black male 1 slave, age 25, black male 1 slave, age 13, black male 1 slave, age 20, black female 1 slave, age 30, black female 1 slave, age 7, black male 1 slave, age 5, black male 1 slave, age 1, black male Names of the slaves are not listed.
