Hi Leatha, We have been researching the Reynolds family who lived near Elizabeth, Fulton Co.AR. We found the following marriage record in the 1900 - 1909 Fulton Co. Marriage book: Conley, Ransey (33) & Miss Alice Reynolds (23) both of Elizabeth, Fulton Co. AR m. Feb. 13, 1902. We have tried to connect Alice Reynolds (from the Marriage Book) to the Ben Reynolds family who lived near Elizabeth, Fulton Co. AR. but have been unable to do so. Ben Reynolds had a nephew, Ansil H. Reynolds, b. about 1856 who married Mary E. Branch on August 21, 1876 in Gainesville, Ozark Co.MO. We have no record of Ansil's family but if Alice was b. c. 1879, she would be the right age for Ansil (Ancel?) to be the father, thus providing a connection to the Elizabeth, Fulton Co. Reynolds family. We couldn't find any census record to support this theory. If Alice is connected to this family, Ben Reynolds parents were Ansel and Matilda M. (Hightower) Reynolds, "said to be" Cherokee Indians from South Carolina. No documentation given!
