    3. Linda, and others! The earliest Mitchell in my line, was William H., born , and married in Alabama, to Easter Angeline Johnston.. I have all the Census records for him, and descendents, except for Robert. I have also found all but 3 of Robert & Ella's children in various Census years. Robert's land record through BLM-GLO is dated Aug. 21, 1900 in Ozark Co. The Census was taken in June, 1900. He is listed with his parents and siblings in the 1880 Ozark. Co. Census. Some of the family was buried at the Mitchell Cemetery, which graves were moved 1943 by the Corp of Engineers to keep them from being inundated by Lake Norfork. They ( and others) were moved to the Price & Mitchell Cemetery at Udall, MO. I have pictures of the graves of the known Mitchells buried there. Robert's widow re-married before 1920 Census to James M. Kesner. She is listed on 1920 & 1930 Census as Ella M. Kesner and Matilda E. Kesner ( may have the names and years flip-flopped) . She died in 1940 and is buried at Baptist Hill/ Bridges Cemetery., near Elijah. There are no Mitchells or Lawyers buried there, except for James Lawyer and wife, Rebecca. ( I suspect he may be a brother or uncle to Ella, but not sure) The Lawyers were in Saline Co. Illinois. In 1850 Census, I find Ella's father, Emanuel, living with his parents, William & Rachell. On Dec. 18m1863, Imanuel entered Co. L, 13 IL. Cavalry. His residence was Galatia, IL. In 1870 Saline Co. IL Census, he and wife, Permelia, with 2 year old Matilda E. are listed. On Feb. 26, 1884, he files for invalid pension in AR. On Aug. 24, 1898, his widow files for widows pension in MO. On Sep. 15, 1902, Title transfer to Permelia, widow of Emanuel is granted under the authority, (May 20, 1862 Homestead Entry Original 12 Stat. 392) , for 160 acres in Ozark Co. MO.
