I know it is not considered a town. If I find out, I'll get the information to you via this website -- or you can send me your e-mail address if you want me to contact you directly. I no longer have that information. Who are you looking for? I have a BIG book about Ozark County. Maybe I can find out something in it about your relative. Jean of California > >

    3. Thanks everyone! I was told the Cemetery was near Bakersfield, but Dawt was one of the areas in Ozark Co. that at least one of my Mitchells (Hiram) lived for a time. My main family names are Mitchell ( I have pictures of all the Mitchell graves at Price & Mitchell Cemetery, and Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in or near Udall.) Mainly Robert Y. Mitchell family. He married Ella Lawyer, and I now believe that Ella re-married James Kesner. Other family surnames are Lawyer & Fields. Any information on the children of Robert & Ella will be much appreciated! I know of 3: Hiram M. Mitchell, who marrried Mamie Pattillo; Delpha Adeline Mitchell, who married Abraham A. Fields (these are my husband's Grandparents); and Marion. I have been given the names of other children as being Mary, Bill, Grace, Jane, and Tom. I have nothing to verify these latter children. The 1900 Census would be the place, but the only Robert Mitchells in the state of MO. are not my Robert! I do know Robert was living with his parents and siblings in Bayou Twp. 1880, and that he purchased 150+ acres a few months (actually about 6 weeks or so) after the 1900 Census was taken. I do have some people that contacted me privately that I believe to be checking the Cemetery books for me, and a wonderful RAOGK Volunteer, that not only took the pictures at the 2 Cemeteries, but also is dropping some papers in the mail to me today. I do not know what are contained in all of these papers, other than the marriage of Hiram & Mamie, and listing of all the burials at the Price & Mitchell Cemetery. Thanks Lin!!! It is also possible that Mary Mitchell, daughter of James Mitchell married John T. S. Hensley, as Delpha was living with that family in 1910 Census listed as a "cousin". Her brother, Marion was living with James Mitchell and his family as a "nephew". I have learned that a John L. Hensley, also had a wife named Mary Mitchell. I wonder if this could be Delpha's sister, Mary. ?? As you all can tell, I have a few bits here and there, but Robert & Ella, the direct line is the big mystery! Again, thank you to all who have helped me find the Mitchells in Ozark Co.! Did not even know they were there until late October! Any other information is greatly appreciated!
