I would like to know more about the marriage books. I live on the West Coast but family came from this area. I read about people having all different kinds of books to do look ups, but I would like to know if the books are available then why isn't there a list, address, and price of them. It would be so nice to own these kinds of books. It would make reasearching family so much easier. Kay Washington

Thanks to a special lady, Joyce, in MO., and other family members that are newly found, my brick wall is tumbling!! For those who looked for the Robert Mitchell family in 1900 Census for me, they were found in Fulton Co. AR.Yeah!! The Lawyer family came into Ozark Co. from Saline Co. Illinois. I have found them on 1850, 1860, and 1870 Census in IL., thanks to Joyce in MO.! Other surnames now related are Waggoner, Ragsdale, Mace, Johnson--------some may have come to MO., but were definitely in IL. Does anyone know where Emanuel Lawyer and his wife Permelia (Ragsdale) Lawyer might be buried?? These are the parents of Matilda Ella (Lawyer) Mitchell Kesner. Hope this little bit of information may help someone on their family lines. Wilma
