Obituary, mid-Missouri newspaper, 1978: "Larry H. Rehagen, 26, Westphalia, died Sunday April 9, 1978, following a tractor accident. He was born July 16, 1951, the son of Tony and Bernadine Wankum Rehagen both of whom survive. He was married to Patricia Berhorst August 19, 1974 at Westphalia. She survives at the home along with three-year-old son, Craig. Larry was a 1970 graduate of Fatima High School and was self-employed. Mr. Rehagen was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Westphalia, the Holy Name Society and the Lion's Club. He was also a volunteer fireman. Other survivors include; four brothers, Richard Rehagen of Indianapolis, IN, Jerry Rehagen of Jefferson City, Kenneth Rehagen and Andrew Rehagen both of Westphalia; one sister, Linda Rehagen of Westphalia; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Louise Wankum of Meta. Services were held Wednesday morning at the St. Joseph's Church with Rev. Peter Walsh officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery." (FYI- Larry Rehagen was driving a tractor north on Osage County Route 501, when the tractor overturned and pinned Rehagen underneath, crushing his body, according to the State Highway Patrol report. The accident occurred when the tractor's steering rod broke, the patrol said, causing the vehicle to hit the road embankment.
