Obituary, mid-Missouri newspaper, Feb. 20, 1998: "Leo Anton Bax, 90, Koelztown, died Friday (20 February 1998) at Capital Region Medical Center-Southwest. He was born May 30, 1907 in Koeltztown, a son of Herman and Christine Kern Bax. He farmed with two brothers in the Koeltztown area. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Koeltztown and the Men's Society. Survivors include three nieces, Dorothy Davis, Nevada, Viola Luebbert, Tipton and Lorraine Klima, St. Louis; and four nephews: Harold Richter, Shreveport, Louisiana, Leonard Sandbothe, Boonville, Victor Sandbothe, state of New York, Remus Bax, Tipton. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Boniface Catholic Church. The Rev. Ralph G. Kutz will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Dulle Trimble Funeral Home, Westphalia, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation also will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the church. Memorials are suggested to St. Boniface Catholic Church."
