Obit., 1968 - mid-Missouri newspaper: Ralph A Augustine Dies "Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 3 at the Assumption Church for Ralph A Augustine, age 46 years, 9 months, and 15 days. Fr. Leo Oligchlaeger officiating. He entered into rest Saturday, August 31st 1968 at Decatur County Hospital in Leon, Iowa. He was born November 16, 1921 here in Morrison. His father preceded him in death. On June 24th 1944 he was married to Verna Struttmann. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Francis Augustine, his wife, Mrs. Verna Augustine, one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Sheryl) Hoffmann of Fairfield, Illinois; one son Danny Ray Augustine of the home; two brothers, Norbert Augustine of Marion, Iowa; Leo Augustine of Washington; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Pope of Washington; Mrs. Sylvestor (Emma) Waltersheidt of Morrison. He was a member of Catholic Knights of America; Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society and American Legion Post of Chamois, Missouri. He was a veteran of World War 2. At the time of his death he was a Hoisting Engineer for the Missouri Pacific Railway Company. Burial was made in the Assumption Cemetery here in Morrison.
