Obituary, mid-Missouri newspaper, 1977: Mr. Boehmer, 49, dies at Iowa City "Andrew J. Boehmer, 49, Iowa City, Iow, and former Rich Fountain resident, died Wednesday, August 31, 1977 at the Iowa University Medical Center, Iowa City. He was born March 15, 1928 at Rich Fountain, the son of Frank and Bernadine Haller Boehmer. In 1949 he was married at Freeburg to Roberta Lock, who survives in the state of California. Mr. Boehmer attended parish schools at Rich Fountain and was a graduate of Freeburg High School. He was a World War II veteran and was employed in auto body repair work. Mr. Boehmer had lived at Iowa City for the past several years. Other survivors include: four sons: Wayne, Randy, Bruce and Gerald Boehmer, all of the state of California; one step-son, Eugene Boehmer, state of California; two daughters: Miss Jacqueline and Miss Mildred Boehmer, both of the state of California; one brother, Sylvester J. Boehmer, Jefferson City; and two sisters, Mrs. Edward Welschmeyer and Mrs Frank Haller, both of Freeburg. Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rich Fountain, with Rev. David Buscher officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery."
