Gentges, 63, died Friday, June 14, 1968 of injuries sustained in a tractor mishap near his home at Bonnots Mill. Mr. Gentges was mowing a fence row along a creek when the tractor he was driving struck a large concrete block causing the tractor to overturn. Gentges was killed instantly. Mr. Gentges was born October 15, 1904 at Frankenstein, son of Henry and Elizabeth Kremer Gentges. On October 8, 1928 he was married to the former Miss Rosemary Jaegers. She survives. Also surviving are: Three sons, Richard P. Gentges, Loose Creek; James E. Gentges, Bonnots Mill; Thomas R. Gentges, U. S. Navy, Vietnam. Three daughters, Mrs. George Dudenhoeffer, Overland; Mrs. James Kirsch, Bonnots Mill; and Mrs. James Keller, 411 Aurora St. Jefferson City. One brother, August Gentges, Bonnots Mill; two sisters and Mrs. Henry Wieberg, and Miss Mary Gentges, both of Linn. The funeral was 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Help Catholic Church, Frankenstein. Burial was at the new Garden of Gethsemene Cemetery. source unknown
