Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper Mr. Gerling dies Friday, October 25, 1974 Norbert H. Gerling, 48, Oalkley, California, died Friday morning in a Walnut Creek, California hospital. He had been ill about six months. He was born January 22, 1926 in Jefferson City to Louis and Veronica Bax Gerling. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Jane Gerling of the home; two sons, Clarence Gerling and Louis Norbert Gerling, both of the state of California; his mother, Mrs. Veronica Gerling, New Bloomfield; three brothers, Edward Gerling and Ted Gerling, both of Jefferson City, and LeRoy Gerling, New Bloomfuield. Six sisters, Mrs. Margie Pfengar, Jefferson City, Mrs. Dorothy Neeley, Elston, Mrs. Mildred Beauchamp, Mexico, Mrs. Mary Jane Lock, St. Peters, Mrs. August Lock, and Mrs. Norma Buckley, both of O'Fallon. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Jefferson City, with the Rev. John Prenger officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. A rosary will be recited Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. at the Claypool Funeral Home, New Bloomfield.
