Obituary - Jefferson City Post Tribune, Wednesday, December 20, 1995 "Adolph F Bax, 94, of Jefferson City died Monday, December 18, 1995, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. He was born January 9, 1901 in St. Elizabeth to Joseph H and Anna Dicknite Bax. On November 28, 1945, he was married in St. Thomas to Margaret H. Schulte, who survives at the home. Mr. Bax farmed near St. Elizabeth and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Other survivors include two daughters: Marcia Slaughter of Jefferson City and Judith Hoelscher of Osage Bend; two sons, Joseph Bax of Eldon and Dennis Bax of Jefferson City; two sisters, Catherine Hoecker of St. Elizabeth and Martha Berendzen of Mary's Home; three brothers: Anton Bax, Victor Bax and August Bax, all of St. Elizabeth; and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church in Jefferson City with the Rev. Donald W. Lammers officiating. Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery under the direction of Dulle Funeral Home of Jefferson City."
