    3. Obit., 1972 - mid-Missouri newspaper: "Mike J. Broker, 82, life-long member of Frankenstein, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 1972 at the home of a son in Kansas City. Mr. Broker was born August 25, 1890 at Frankenstein, the son of Theodore and Katherine Strope Broker. He was married February 7, 1917 in the old St. Mary's Church in Frankenstein, to the former Miss Anna M. Bengel, who survives. Mr. Broker was a life-long member of the Holy Name Society of Our Lady of Help Parish, Frankenstein. He was a sawmill and threshing machine operator in the Frankenstein area all his life. Other survivors besides his wife, include five sons, Joseph Broker, Denver, Colo.; Eugene Broker, Woodbine, N. J.; Lawrence Broker, Holts Summit; Michael J. Broker, Jr., Kansas City and Vincent Broker, Independence. One daughter, Mrs. Wilfred Kremer, Frankenstein; three sisters, Miss Margarete Broker, Miss Louise Broker and Mrs. Paul Thoenen, all of near Frankenstein; two brothers, John Broker and Henry Broker, both of Frankenstein; 29 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday at Our Lady of Help Catholic Church, Frankenstein, with Rev. Joseph Lorenz officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Gethsemane Cemetery, Frankenstein.
