Source: mid-Missouri newspaper, 1975: Mr. Altheuser Observes 90th Birthday "Mr. Herman Altheuser, Westphalia, celebrated his 90th birthday Sunday, June 29th, 1975. A barbeque and basket dinner was held at the home of his granddaughter, Mr. and Mrs.Jerome Dudenhoeffer, Linn, Missouri. Helping him celebrate were three of his six children and all of his 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Donald Starke and family of Frankenstein, Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Dudenhoeffer and daughter, of Linn, Mr. and Mrs. James Backes and daughter of Bonnots Mill; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Starke, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Altheuser and family, all of Jefferson City, and Marie Altheuser, Westphalia. Also present were Carl McGeorge, Mrs. Margaret Bran and Evie Hurt, Columbia. Unable to be present were Loretta Altheuser, Westphalia; Albert and Edward Altheuser, St. Louis."
