Obituary, Jefferson City, Missouri News/Post Tribune Obit: "Peter J Bax, 75, of Henley died Saturday, October 31, 1998 at Capital Region Medical Center - Madison in Jefferson City. He was born March 25, 1923 in Miller County to Pete and Mary Anne Lampe Bax. On February 8, 1947 he was married in Mary's Home to Veronica Evers, who survives at the home. Mr. Bax was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Mary's Home. He farmed in North Dakota and had worked on towboats on the Mississippi River. He later worked in construction and farmed for many years. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World Wr II. Surviving him, in addition to his wife, are four sons, David Evers and Benny Bax, both of Mary's home, Richie Bax of Eagle Grove, Iowa, and Donnie Bax, of Henley; two daughters, Ardis Ford of Lusk, Wyoming and Brenda Rowden of Iberia; 21 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; and a sister, Lucille Hart of Eldon. He was preceded in death by a son, Steven and infant twin daughters, Deborah and DeAnna. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Starrman officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home of Mary's Home."
