Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1974: "Mrs. Mary Jane Bonney, 36, St. Louis, died Monday April 29, 1974 at the Lutheran Hospital in St. Louis. She was born Nov. 25, 11937 in Jefferson City, the daughter of William and Johanna Wieberg Patten. Her mother survives in Freeburg. She was married to William F. Bonney, who survives at the home. She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg. Other survivors include: one son, Shawn Bonney of the home; three daughters - Miss Maria Bonney, Miss Jackie Bonney, Miss Glenna Bonney, all of the home. Three brothers, Raymond Patten and Alvin Patten, both of Vienna; and Donald Patten of Westphalia; three sisters - Miss Beatrice Patten, Westphalia; Mrs. Helen Weed, Meta; and Mrs. Arlene Mateny, Freeburg. Funeral services were held Thursday at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg with the Rev. Norman Ahrens officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery."
