Burchard Dies in Florida "The Osage County Observer received a telephone call from Mr. Everett Burchard in LaBell, Florida on Monday, reporting the death of his father, Rufus M. Burchard. Mr. Burchard was born in Frankenstein in 1880, and passed away on December 23, 1965, reaching the age of 86 years. He spent the younger years of his life in Frankenstein and later in St. Louis. He has lived in LaBell for the last forty years. He was married to the former Miss Betty Mantle. He is survived by his four sons, Everett, Dave, Earl and Orville, all living in Florida, and one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Williams of St. Louis. His brother, Leonard Burchard still lives in Frankenstein. Mr. Burchard was a great uncle to Mr. George Wolfe, postmaster at Linn. Mr. Everett Burchard stated that he is an ardent reader of the Osage County Observer and read it to his father until the time of his death."
