Obit., 1942 - mid-Missouri newspaper: " Mrs. Henrietta Boessen of Loose Creek, died early Saturday morning (Sept. 1942) at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City following a stroke of paralysis. Mrs. Boessen, who operated a hotel at Loose Creek until three months ago when failing health forced her retirement, was well known in Osage County. She was a native of Loose Creek, born June 14, 1886 and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Haslag. Her first husband was Jacob Lock. Following his death, she married John Boessen who also died some years ago. She leaves four children, Mrs. Henry Stiefferman and Mrs. Joseph Boessen of Loose Creek, Theodore Lock of Jefferson City and Frank Lock of Wardsville; two sisters, 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild."
