Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1982: " Raymond B. Luebbert, 73, Jefferson City, died Wednesday (Jan. 6, 1982) at a Jefferson City hospital following a one-year illness. Mr. Luebbert was born September 11, 1908, at Meta, a son of Steve and Christine Schanzmeyer Luebbert. He was married July 3, 1934 at Meta to Clara Finke, who survives at the home. Mr. Luebbert lived in Jefferson City for 40 years and he was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the FOE Eagles, No. 2693, and the United Transportation Union of Missouri Pacific Railroad. He was employed by the Missouri Pacific Railroad for 30 years prior to his retirement. Other survivors include: three sons, Raymond Luebbert, Lake Ozark; James Luebbert, Jefferson City; and Sam Luebbert, Holts Summit; two brothers, Henry Luebbert, Jefferson City and F. J. "Fritz" Luebbert, Meta; four sisters, Mrs. Clara Lock, Mrs. Florence Fischer and Mrs. Marie Bacon, all of Jefferson City, and Mrs. Dorothy Donehue, Enid, Okla; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services were held Friday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Paul Hartley officiating. Entombment was in Resurrection Mausoleum. Memorial contributions are suggested to the America Cancer Society."
