Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1967: " Mr. Louis E. Benne of Chamois died Sunday, April 16, 1967 at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City. He was 72 years of age. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, April 19, at the St. John's United Church of Christ at Chamois. Rev. M. Hockenhull officiated. Interment was in the Deer Creek Cemetery near Chamois."
