Obit.,mid-Missouri newspaper: Mrs Gerling dies today February 28, 1974 Mrs. Gertrude J. Gerling, 95, of 635 Georgia Street died this morning at St. Mary's Health Center following an illness of two weeks. Mrs. Gerling was born May 28, 1878 at Linn, the daughter of Herman and Margaret Lammers Hollenbeck. She was married May 27, 1902 at St. Elizabeth to Theodore Gerling, who died March 10, 1963. Mrs. Gerling was a member of the altar society of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Survivors include: Four sons, Steve Gerling, 2721 Idlewood Road, Joe Gerling, Route 2, August Gerling, Route 5, and Adolph Gerling 208 Indian Meadow Drive; three daughters, Mrs. Jerry Goeller, 635 Georgia Street, Mrs. Herman Goeller, Route 2, and Mrs. Otto Probst, Lohman, 19 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. The rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Friday at the Dulle Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church with the Rev. John Buchanan officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
