Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1973: "John M. Fitzpatrick, 80, of Argyle, died Tuesday (June 12, 1973) at the Federal State Soldiers Home, St. James. Mr. Fitzpatrick was born July 24, 1892 in Maries County, the son of Bart and Margaret Birmingham Fitzpatrick. he married the former Miss Elizabeth Luebbert Nov. 14, 1924 at Jefferson City. She died Dec. 29, 1972. He was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be Thursday at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Argyle, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Ralph Kutz officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The rosary will be recited at the Birmingham Funeral Home, Vienna."
