    3. "Bernard Henry Rehagen, 88, formerly of Rich Fountain, died Tuesday , January 9, 1968, at a Springfield hospital after a long illness. Mr. Rehagen , a retired farmer, moved to Springfield 11 years ago. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Springfield. He was born July 6, 1879, the son of Henry and Mary Schallen (Sp??) Rehagen. Mr. Rehagen was married at Westphalia Oct. 24, 1905, to the former Miss Mary Schulte, who survives. Other survivors include: three sons, Henry Rehagen of St. Louis; Clem Rehagen of Granite City, Ill and Agathon (Tony) Rehagen of Westphalia. One daughter, Mrs. Loretta Becker of Springfield; one brother, Herman Rehagen of Freeburg; two sisters, Mrs. Francis Bax of Chesterfield, and Mrs. Angela Bax of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and 14 grandchildren. The funeral Masses for Ben and Mary were at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, Missouri, concelebrated by their three grandsons, the Reverend Donald, Reverend Harold Rehagen and Reverend Gerald Rehagen. Burial was at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Westphalia, Missouri." (Source: Unterrified Democrat, Jan. 1968)
