Obit., Unterrified Democrat, November 1975: " Mrs. Catherine Buschjost, 92, St. Thomas, died Friday, Nov. 21, 1975, at a Jefferson City hospital where she had been a patient for the past week. She was born Jan. 11, 1883, at Koeltztown, the daughter of John and Anna Nieska Juergensmeyer. On May 9, 1905, she was married in Koeltztown to Joseph Buschjost who died July 21, 1960. She attended Koeltztown parochial schools and was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, St. Thomas and the ladies altar society. Survivors include: two daughter, Mrs. Salome Schulte of St. Thomas; and Mrs. Ann Gibson, Hot Springs, Ark.; three sons, John Buschjost, Koeltztown; Anton Buschjost, Mary's Home; and Norbert Buschjost, St. Elizabeth; one sister, Mrs. Betty Borgmeyer of Westphalia; 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday at the St. Thomas Church with the Rev. Donald Wallace officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery."
