Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1966: Louis Granaman Dies in Hospital Louis Lonzo Granaman, was born in Osage County in the Gascondy community on October 17, 1879, the son of Fritz Granaman and his wife, Minervia Branson Granaman, and passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City early Monday morning April 18 after a brief illness. At the time of his passing he was 86 years and 6 months of age. Mr. Granaman grew up in the Gascondy community and at an early age went to St. Louis to seek employment. He was in the Real Estate business until in 1958 when he retired and moved to a farm which he purchased near Morrison, and he remained there until his last illness. On March 27, 1937 he was united in marriage to Lucille Gray in St. Louis. She survives him together with two sisters, Mrs. Harrison Hutchinson of Vienna, and Mrs. William Collins of Union. He was a member of the Christian Church for many years. He lay in state at the Morton Chapel, Monday and Tuesday, and Wednesday afternoon was taken directly to the Union Cemetery at Union, where burial was in the family plot. At the request of Mr. Granaman, made before his death no religious services were conducted either at the chapel or at the cemetery. The Pallbearers who served were: Eugene Schaefer, John Roach, George Lange and Ervin Lietzow.
