Obit. mid-Missouri newspaper, 1976: "William M. Bogler, 81, of Chamois, died Sat., Oct. 23 (1976) at a Columbia Hospital following a seven - week illness. He was self-employed in the tricking business before his retirement and was a lifelong resident of Chamois. He was born Jan. 27, 1895 at Chamois, the son of August and Elizabeth Bogler. he was married in November 1928 at Chamois to Nellie Mae Lamb, who died in 1967. Mr. Bogler was a lifelong member of the Most Pure Hear of Mary Catholic Church, Chamois. He was a veteran of World War !, a member of the American Legion Post at Chamois and the Knights of Columbus Council at Morrison. Survivors include; one son, Woody Bogler, Jefferson City; one daughter, Mrs. Generose Baugher, Sacramento, Calif.; three brothers, Stanley Bogler, Jefferson City; Ray and Gus Bogler, both of Chamois; four sisters, Mrs. Hazel Holzen, Jefferson City; Mrs. Kathryn Holzen and Mrs. Lucille Boland, both of Washington; and Mrs. Sophie Starke, Chamois; four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. Services were held Monday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Chamois, with Rev. Kenneth Brockel officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery."
