Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1975: " John Buersmeyer, 85, of Koeltztown, died Tuesday, June 10, 1975 at his home. A native of Westphalia, Mr. Buersmeyer was born Oct. 23, 1889, the son of Steve and Christine Heckemeyer Buersmeyer. On Nov. 17, 1926, at Koeltztown, he was married to the former Miss Catherine Borgmeyer, who survives. Other survivors include: two brothers, Casper Buersmeyer, now a resident of St. Joseph's Home, Jefferson City and Herman Buersmeyer of Westphalia. Mr. Buersmeyer was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Koeltztown, where services were conducted Friday with the Rev. Msgr. Ralph Kutz officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery."
