Obit., 1971 - mid-Missouri newspaper: " Funeral services were held today at St. Lawrence Catholic church, St. Elizabeth, for Miss Melissa Hoecker, 20 month old daughter of Alfred and Lorraine Bax Hoecker, of St. Elizabeth. The Hoecker child died Tuesday ( Nov. 23, 1971) at a local hospital. The child was born Feb. 25, 1970 in Jefferson City. Other survivors include: two brothers, Curtis Hoecker and Bryan Hoecker of the home; a sister Miss Brenda Hoecker of the home; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mr. Louis Bax, Westphalia. Burial was in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Stevinson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements."
