Obit - mid-Missouri newspaper, March 1974; " Mrs. Catherine C. Lepper, 72, Route 2, died today (Mar 1974) at Charles E. Still Hospital. She was born on November 6, 1901 in Cole County, the daughter of Herman and Anna Weavers Kempker. Mrs. Lepper was a native of Mary's Home vicinity and a brother lives at Henley. Mrs. Lepper was married on Sept. 26, 1927 at Mary's Home to George A. Lepper, who died on Jan. 12, 1949. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic church and was employed at St. George Laundry in Jefferson City until her retirement in 1968. Survivors include: Two sons - Willard Lepper of Route 2, and Harold Lepper of Route 5; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Johnson of Route 2; two brothers - Joe Kempker of Henley, and Bennie Kempker of Route 2,: two sisters: Mrs. Addie Templeton of the home and Mrs. Tillie Goetz of Route 2, and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic church, with burial in Resurrection Cemetery." (source: a mid-Missouri newspaper, March 1974).
