Medley, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Morton; Miss Nina Craig, Mr. and Mrs. John Carsten of Chamois, Buell Bacclesse and his mother, who is a sister of Morton's mother, Mrs. Opal Butler and Buell's daughter, Helen of Jefferson City. Morton is survived by his wife, three sons and a daughter, and his mother. He was a graduate of the Boonville Schools and the University of Missouri, he taught school in Boonville for several years, and at the time of his death, he was the manager of the MFA at Fulton, Mo. He was a life long member of the Baptist Church where funeral services were held with Dr. Fred Niger, Rev. Mel Lantz, Rev. Walter Cox and Rev. Frank Kirkland officiating. Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery at Boonville with a vast gathering of friends and relatives. Truly it can be said that Morton C. Craig was an outstanding young man of his times, a devoted husband and father, a devout Christian, an outstanding business executive, and assed to his community. He leaves a void in the entire community life that will indeed be hard to fill, stricken down so early in life, a victim of cancer."
