    3. Obit., 1978 - mid-Missouri newspaper; " Carl Joseph Buechler, 33, of Freeburg,died Thursday (January 12, 1978)as the result of injuries received in an auto accident. Mr. Buechler was born Jan. 20, 1944, in Jefferson City, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Alois Buechler, Freeburg, who survive. Mr. Buechler was married March 1, 1969, in Jefferson City, to the former Miss Mary Wagner now of Jefferson City. He was employed by Quaker Window Products Co., Freeburg and was a member of the Holy Family Catholic church, Freeburg. He also served with the United States Army Reserve. Survivors include; two sons, Jeffrey Buechler and Michael Buechler, both of Jefferson City; one brother, Joseph Buechler, Freeburg; and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Ann Wildhaber, Freeburg; Mrs. Carol Sandbothe, Jefferson City; and Mrs. Martha Kliethermes, Westphalia. The rosary will be recited today at the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. Services are scheduled for Sunday at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg, with the Rev. Hugh Behan officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery." ___________________________ Freeburg Man Killed in Accident " Carl J. Buechler, 33, Freeburg was killed Thursday (January 12, 1978) when the vehicle he was driving collided with a tractor-trailer truck on U. S. 63 in Osage County, just south of Route JJ. According to a report by the state Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 12:45 PM when the southbound vehicle driven by Buechler, traveling in the northbound land, was struck head-on by the northbound tractor-trailer as it came over a hillcrest. The driver of the tractor-trailer, Charles H. Cunningham, 25, Willow Springs, suffered minor injuries from the accident, according to the report."
