Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1976: "Louis Henry Boehmer, 50, of Freeburg, died Wed. Aug. 11, 1976, at a Jefferson City hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Boehmer was born Jan. 17, 1926 at Rich Fountain, the son of Frank and Bernadine Haller Boehmer. he was married Feb. 17, 1948 at Rich Fountain to the former Miss Marie Haller, who survives at the home. Mr. Boehmer was employed at QuakerWindow Products of Freeburg for 20 years. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg; the married men's Sodality, the Western Catholic Union, the American Legion Post, Freeburg. He was a World War II Army veteran. Other survivors include: three daughters, Mrs. Delores White, Rolla; Mrs. Betty Dickneite and Miss Bonnie Boehmer, both of Freeburg; two brothers, Sylvester Boehmer, Jefferson City; and Andrew Boehmer, Waterloo, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Welschmeyer, Freeburg; and Mrs. Catherine Haller, Rich Fountain; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sat., Aug. 14, at the Holy Family Catholic church in Freeburg with Rev. Hugh Behan officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery under the direction of the Birmingham-martin Funeral Home of Vienna."
