Obit. mid- Missouri newspaper, 1972: "Lawrence Schulte, 63, of St. Thomas, died at noon Tuesday ( April 18, 1972) at a Jefferson City hospital following an illness of three months. A native of St. Thomas, Mr. Schulte was born October 25, 1908. On Sept. 24, 1940, at St. Elizabeth, he was married to the former Miss Regina Bax, who survives. Lawrence attended St. Thomas Parochial School. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in St. Thomas, Missouri and of the Holy Name Society. For several years he was self-employed. Then worked for Tierney Equipment Company and the Callaway Farmers Equipment Company. Other survivors include 2 sons, Stanley Schulte of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Larry Schulte of the home: 2 daughters, Miss Mary Ann Schulte of St. Louis and Miss Licinda Schulte of the home, and one grandson. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at St. Thomas Catholic Church, with the Rev. James Owens officiating. Burial will be in the St. Thomas Cemetery in St. Thomas. The rosary will e recited Thursday at the Buescher Memorial Chapel in St. Thomas. "
