Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, February 1946: " Frank Xavier Boehmer, aged 72 years, died at St. Mary's Hospital Tuesday. Mr. Boehmer was a leading farmer of the Rich Fountain community and had been a widower 16 years. His wife was Miss Bernadine Haller. Surviving him are three sons: Louis, serving with the armed forces in Japan; Sylvester in the Navy in Guam; and Andrew at home. His son, Stephen Jos. was killed in Italy in 1944. Two daughters are left: Marie at home, and Mrs. Frank Haller of Rich Fountain."
