Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1975: "Mrs. Elizabeth Bathe died Wed., Sept. 17, 1975 at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis at the age of 93 years. Mrs. Bathe was born Nov. 28, 1882 at Argyle, Mo., the daughter of Stephen and Anna A. Hagenhoff Brunnert. In August 1907, she was married to George H. Bathe, who died Sept. 11, 1933. She was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church and St. Ann's Sodality at Argyle. For the past four years she had made her home with her daughter in St. Ann. She is survived by four children; one daughter, Tess; three sons, Martin, Harry and Andrew, all of St. Louis. One daughter, Rose Schulte and one son, John, preceded her in death. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at St. Kevin's Catholic church in St. Ann. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis."
