Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper -June 1975: " Clarence Brandt Dies At Home In Chamois" " Mr. Clarence Peter Brandt, the son of the late Casper Brandt and his wife, Mary, nee Nilges, was born near Linn, January 12, 1911 and died at his home near Chamois reaching the age of 64 years, 5 months and 9 days. Mr. Brandt attended school at Frankenstein and in 1942 was married to Miss Jewell Staley. He was a farmer and livestock raiser in the Linn and Chamois area all of his life except for about six years that he farmed in Callaway County. Surviving besides his wife Jewell are four children. They are: Mrs. Linda Walters, Columbia; Delmar of Jefferson City; Joe Brandt and John Brandt, both of Chamois; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Norbert Brandt, state of Texas; Herman Brandt, state of Maryland; and Cletus Brandt of Edwards, Mo. Eight sisters, Mrs. Martha Wolfe; Mrs. Benelda Kiecksee, Mrs. Generose Hayes, all of Jefferson City; Mrs. Lillian Mertens and Mrs. Mary Ann Masters, both of Linn; Mrs. Marina Woolsey, Edgeton; Mrs. Lorene Lehen, St. Louis; and Mrs. Roseline Staley of Chamois. After resting at the Meyer Funeral Home in Chamois, funeral services were conducted Tuesday, June 24, 1975, at the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Chamois, with interment in the parish cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Brockel officiating."
