Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1976: " William E. Bolten, 83, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, April 11, 1976, at a hospital there following a lingering illness. Mr. Bolten was born July 22, 1892 at Loose Creek, the son of Peter Jacob and Mary Catherine Schmitz Bolten. Mr. Bolden attended Immaculate Conception Parochial School in Loose Creek. He was employed as a barber in Jefferson City for many years before his retirement. Survivors include: one brother, Gerhard Bolten, Loose Creek; and one sister, Mrs. Margaret Jones, Kansas City; Funeral services were held Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Cronin officiating. Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery, Jefferson City."
