Mid-Missouri newspaper, 1980 - " Mrs. Margaret Balkenbusch, 81, of St. Louis, passed away on November 16th (1980) at the home of a daughter following a lengthy illness. She was born May 15th 1899 in Osage County to Louis and Johanna Voss. She was married Oct. 26, 1927 at St. George Church in Linn to Hermann Balkenbusch who survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Glen and Donald of St. Louis: three daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Kane, St. Louis; Mrs. Leah May Shay of Texas and Mrs. Joan Davis of Florissant, Mo.; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother, Julius Voss, Linn; Mrs. Rosie Boes, St. Joseph's Home; Mrs. Louis Bax, Westphalia; Mrs. Jake Kramer, Linn; and Sister Bonifilia, St. Louis. The funeral was held Wednesday at St. Christopher Parish and burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Florissant, Missouri."
