    3. Obituary appeared in Unterrified Democrat: Services will be Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek for Beatrice K. (Katherine) Nilges, 81, of Loose Creek. The Rev. Richard Cronin will conduct the funeral for Mrs. Nilges, who died Sunday ( 7 Feb 1999) at a Springfield hospital, with burial in the parish cemetery. Mrs. Nilges was born Aug 4, 1917 at Loose Creek to Joseph H. (Herman) Grefrath and the former Teresa Cremer. She was married Oct 19, 1939 at Loose Creek to August Hugo Nilges, Jr., who died Dec 25, 1977. A homemaker, she attended Immaculate Conception School in Loose Creek. She had worked as a seamstress for Linn Manufacturing Co. and Oberman's pants factory in Jefferson City, where she worked for McGraw-Edison Appliance Co.She was a member of Immaculate Conception parish. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ben (Pat) Schultz (Patricia Nilges) of Harrison; two brothers, Herbert Adolph Grefrath of Linn and Edmund Frank Grefrath of Boulder, CO; a sister, Rita Conradina Grefrath Kliethermes of Lake Forrest, Minnesota. A son, August P. "Skip" Nilges, died Apr 23 of last year. She also was preceded in death by four other brothers, Bernard Gustave, Raymond Jacob, Joseph August, and Norbert Henry Grefrath; and another sister, Mrs. Joe (Mary) Haslag.
