Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1975: " Louis Dresel, 84, Freeburg, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 1975 at his home. He was born Aug. 6, 1891 in Rich Fountain. He was married to Ida Schneider, who died May 12, 1940. Mr. Dresel was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic church, Freeburg, and the married men's sodality of that church. He was a World War I Army veteran. Survivors include on son, Bill Dresel, Freeburg; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Miller, Alton, Ill; and Mrs. Stella Brewer, Freeburg; one brother, Henry Dresel, Rich Fountain, and 8 grandchildren. Funeral services were Saturday at the Holy Family Catholic church, Freeburg, with the Rev. Jos. Lawlor officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery."
