Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1974 - " Arnold Hummert, 90, of Morrison, died Friday, Dec. 27, 1974, at the Hermann Area Hospital after a brief illness. He was born March 7, 1884, at Hope to Mr. and Mrs. August Hummert. On Sept. 16, 1908, he was married to the former Lena Schollmeyer, at Hope. She survives at the home. Mr. Hummert operated a funeral home and a hardware and lumber business in Morrison until his retirement about 15 years ago. He was a member of the Morrison community Bank for more than 50 years. He was a member of St. James United Church of Christ, Morrison, and served on various boards and councils at the church. Other survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Howard Sundermeyer, Kansas City; and Mrs. Dewey Weiher, St. Louis; and one grandchild. Funeral services were Monday at St. James United Church of Christ, Morrison, with the Rev. Richard W. Reinwald officiating. Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery, Morrison."
