Evans, 90, Linn, died Wednesday, July 23, 1975, at the Linn Manor Rest Home. she had been a co-partner of the Linn Mercantile Co., for several years. She was the Roscoe, Neb., postmaster for more than 35 years. She retired and returned to Linn about 15 years ago. Miss Evans was born Dec. 2, 1894, the daughter of John and Melissa Davis Evans. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include: three sisters, Mrs. Kate Phillips, Linn; Mrs. Nan Clark and Mrs. Lula Rhoads, both of St. Louis. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Morton Chapel, Linn, with Rev. Charles W. Miller officiating. Burial was in Linn Memorial Park."
