Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper - 1923: "Mrs. Julia Crutsinger, widow of Volney Crutsinger, passed away June 19 (1923) at St. Louis at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jennie Sharp. Mrs. Crutsinger formerly resided at Chamois, Missouri, but has made Jefferson City her home for the past year. Mrs. Crutsinger was 72 years of age. She was born in St. Louis County. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Ouide Shobe, Mrs. Margaret Reuter, Mrs. Jennie Sharp, Mrs. C. R. Marquand and by a son, F. M. Crutsinger of Cleveland. Mrs. Crutsinger was a daughter of the late Thomas J. Mahon, who was one of the pioneer settlers of Osage County. Mrs. Crutsinger was buried at Riverview Cemetery, Chamois on Sunday with funeral services conducted by Rev. McDonald of Jefferson City."
