Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper - 1976: " Mrs. Dora E. Carey, 88, of Kansas City, died Thursday., Dec. 30, 1976, at a Kansas City hospital. She was a former resident of Linn. She was born Dec. 23, 1888 at Linn, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Moore. She was married Feb. 7, 1909, at Linn to William A. Carey who died in 1962. Mrs. Carey was a member of the Fairview Church of Christ near Linn. Survivors include: five sons, Augustas Carey, San Francisco, Calif.; Nelson Carey, Centertown; Chester Carey, Warrensburg; Ervin Carey, Kansas City; and Clyde Carey, Washington; two daughters, Mrs. Bert Drushal, San Francisco, Calif.; and Mrs.. Edward Buck, Kansas City. Two brothers, Cerial Moore and Audrey Moore; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Dunn and Mrs.. Tenia Holmes, all of Kansas City; 16 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Services were held Saturday at the Morton Chapel at Linn with Bro. Sam Kemp officiating. burial was in the Fairview Church Cemetery near Linn."
